The Maxine Westbrook Moore Scholarship was established to honor the life and legacy of Maxine Westbrook Moore, a lifelong Pickens County resident, longtime downtown Jasper businesswoman, dedicated community servant, and former Pickens County Citizen of the Year. Maxine’s life reflected hard work, service, and a deep commitment to the community she called home. In her memory, the Pickens County Republican Party awards this scholarship to deserving Pickens County graduating seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a commitment to continuing their education.
